ICRI-Health, Delhi along with Academy of Hospital Administration is pleased to announce a workshop on "Medical Tourism in India - A Global Perspective" on 12th September 2009.
The healthcare industry in India has undergone metamorphosis in last two decade; from public to private to patient oriented healthcare services. Corporate hospitals in the metropolitan cities have changed not only the face but the entire structure of healthcare services. To top it all the industry has realized the potential that exists worldwide. The latest trend is "Medical Tourism" or "Health Tourism". To sustain the trend and emerge leaders in the international markets we need to facilitate international healthcare quality & patient safety with approach to continuous care.
Emergence of healthcare facilitators is essential for the convenience and professional & smooth handling of international patients. But the most vital is the link between the hospitals and the healthcare facilitators.
Institutionally framed human resource development and government support in international promotion of Indian healthcare tourism facilities is critical to the sustenance and growth of "Health Tourism".
With this perspective, ICRI health Delhi in collaboration with AHA is organizing a workshop on "Medical Tourism in India - A Global Perspective".
